En los 60, con el auge del turismo, se creó la primera empresa que transportaba pasajeros desde el puerto de Benidorm y el Rincón de Loix hasta la isla, mañana y tarde. Las salidas hasta día de hoy, comienzan a las 10.00 AM y salen cada hora. Una vez en la isla, puedes contratar una excursión en otra embarcación más pequeña, que realiza un recorrido submarino por la zona. En tierra, podremos recorrer la isla por sus senderos y descubrir su flora y fauna. Estos senderos están bien señalizados y no se permite abandonarlos o salirse de ellos, puesto que la isla es un Parque Natural y hay multitud de especies de aves protegidas. Puedes recorrer la isla de arriba a abajo a pie y llegar hasta la cima, donde hay un pequeño faro, y allí disfrutar de unas vistas impresionantes de la ciudad de Benidorm y el mar Mediterráneo.
Si después de estirar las piernas te ha entrado el gusanillo, puedes visitar la única construcción de la isla, el bar restaurante; en el que podrás refrescarte y probar platos de obligada degustación en la gastronomía mediterránea, como son la paella y el arroz con bogavante.
Desde la única cala que hay, hay organizadas rutas de snorkel por la costa de la isla, pero si te has quedado con ganas de algo más "activo" y conocer más a fondo el mundo submarino mediterráneo; a 300 metros al sur de la isla se encuentra el bajo de 'La Llosa'. Es una montaña submarina con profundidades de hasta 30 metros. 'La Llosa' es uno de los itinerarios submarinos más destacados de la costa alicantina, debido a la presencia de variedad de especies (muchas de ellas de gran tamaño, como pulpos o morenas) que habitan durante todo el año o bien se encuentran de paso en determinadas épocas. El paisaje destaca por la presencia de paredes verticales y cuevas, conformando un amplio y llamativo paisaje sobre todo durante el verano cuando la claridad del agua es más elevada. Es un itinerario altamente recomendado si eres amante del submarinismo. Puedes contratar el viaje en lancha con cualquiera de los centros de buceo en Benidorm.
